le Murier in the hamlet "hameau des Auvis"/ Flaux (near Uzès)
This house on the central street of this little hamlet without
footpath so all doors open straight onto the street. As common
in places with much planning restrictions "Le Murier" was restored
without altering the original dwellings layout, although the first
floor was probably raised at some point in the past. From the
front only the kitchen window, entrance door on the ground floor and
two bedroom windows above are visible. The house is far
more spacious than the stone wall would indicate. The hamlet is
± 7km to the Southeast of Uzès. The house is
owner used and consequently very
comfortable. 2 restaurants within 10 minutes walking distance.
This house appeared in the book "The Provencal House" by Johanna
Thornycroft & Andreas von Einsiedel as published by Scriptum
Editions in London. The pictures and the information were
taken from this book.

The hamlet seen from the fields
The kitchen window from the street. The kitchen
comes directly of the

The kitchen with its farmhouse table and its old fireplace which
was used for both cooking and warmth (now acts as storage place for
wine and water).
Although modernized it has been kept deliberately simple and
retains a useful old built in cupboard as well as freestanding
furniture painted in rustic Provencal style. |

The backgarden
A single, enormous tree acting as an umbrella shades the
enclosed garden.
Hugging the stone walls are massed plantings of hydrangea
mixed with clipped, potted box and petunias

| Price month, with a minimum rental of 3 months: € 2.000,
rental for 6 months € 1.800
Our further rental conditions:
The rent for 3 months plus a deposit of a further € 4,000
has to be
paid as follows:
- 25% of the total rent plus deposit has to be paid when
booking
- 50% of the total rent plus deposit has to be paid latest 6
weeks before arriving.
- The balance has to be paid latest on entering the house.
- Electricity and fuel will be read/measured on entry and
again when leaving. The actual consumption will have to be
paid when leaving.
- The house will be handed over clean with all the linen
washed and ironed and the same should be the case when handing
back the property.
- There is presently a very good and reliable cleaning lady
and we can try to ask her if she would be willing to work for
the renters. This will be a separate arrangement between
the renters and the lady.
- The deposit will be reimbursed within 8 weeks after departure, in full or
deducted for repairs.
Arrival / Departure :
- In July and August traveling on Sunday and Saturday is
mostly cumbersome and if possible should be avoided and the
arrival and departure day can be agreed with us.
- Arrival is between 1 pm and 5 pm
- Departure is not later than 10 am
Cancellations :
- If your cancellation reaches us 90 days before the planned
arrival date, a 20% cancellation fee will be charged.
- If your cancellation reaches us between 90 and 45 days
before the planned arrival date, a 35% cancellation fee will
be charged.
- If your cancellation reaches 45 or fewer days before the
planned arrival date, a 100% cancellation fee will be charged.
